Natur Cymru
It is your environment: it provides the air you breathe, the
food you eat, the water you drink. This is your magazine. Let it be
a source of pleasure, wonder and knowledge. Recapture the beauty of
nature through its pages.
There is an infinite number of good
reasons to subscribe - here are some bad reasons for not, and our
replies. Do you recognise yourself?
1. "I already subscribe to other magazines."
Natur Cymru is the only magazine that:
• concentrates exclusively on Wales
• covers all aspects of the environment
It replaces the much-loved Nature in Wales which began its life
in 1955 and appeared regularly for more than 30 years. It prides
itself on making wildlife stories from leading conservationists
accessible to professional and amateur alike.
2. "I haven't time."
It's true that Life does seem to be getting busier and many
people lead hectic lives. Isn't that all the more reason to sit
back and reflect on what we're all rushing for? Natur Cymru asks
some provocative questions about the perceived and actual part
played by the environment in our lives.
3. "I keep meaning to - just haven't got round to it"
No need to delay any longer - just click here.
4. "I can read it in the library."
Hooray - that's what libraries are for. If your local library
doesn't have a copy, please ask them, pester them, implore them to
subscribe.
But Natur Cymru's continued success depends upon financial
support. The magazine is non-profit making but of course we have to
pay costs. If you take out your own subscription you'll be helping
to ensure its survival, as well as having the magazines to keep and
refer to at your leisure.
5. "It's not my kind of thing."
You must have some kind of interest in the environment or you
wouldn't be reading this page. Isn't it better to make decisions
with an informed mind? You might be walking in the hills and be
shocked by the apparent wanton felling of trees. If you know it is
part of a habitat management plan to encourage the numbers of
breeding black grouse, you will see it with different eyes.
6. "I can't afford it."
A standard subscription (£14.00) will cost you less than 4p per
day. Can you afford NOT to subscribe?
